McJannek Station

McJannek Station

Arctic Research Station

Map Description

Mcjannek Station is an Arctic Research Station out in the middle of a snow-covered landscape. It has, unfortunately, been abandoned by the research team (or are they dead?), replaced only by the monsters.

Here you'll find large corridors, computer stations, storage rooms filled with supplies, and break rooms with vending machines. There are, of course, bathrooms scattered around, because, of course, research workers can't just go outside in the snow and frigid temps to relieve themselves.

In higher levels, you'll encounter large pools of water, extraction rooms with a single-plank walkway, and a room with only narrow winding vents to walk on.

There's one room that looks like it's blended with a room from Headman Manor. Amidst the snow coming through the cracks, there's a bed, bookcase, and cupboard just like what you'd find at the Manor. Could they be connected somehow?

Available Items

Bonsai Tree

Bonsai Tree

Not sure what a bonsai tree has to do with an arctic research station, but it's here. Perhaps the crew was Chinese or Japanese?

Value: $900 - $1,100

Hard Drive

Hard Drive

This might look like a VHS tape, but it's actually a computer hard drive.

Value: $2,000 - $3,000

Laptop

Laptop

On the screen of this laptop you'll see images that look a lot like the skeleton and creature fossilized that you can also find on this map.

Value: $2,000 - $3,000

Fan

Fan

Don't try to pick this item up with the fan blades facing you. It'll blow you down, forcing you to let go of the fan. Make sure you pick it up with the fan facing away from you. Just don't point it at a friend, unless you want to mess with them.

Value: $2,000 - $3,000

Computer CPU

Computer CPU

Just your average, basic PC tower.

Value: $2,000 - $3,000

Radioactive Cylinder

Radioactive Cylinder

This cylinder is filled with some type of radioactive fluid, but luckily it doesn't hurt you if it breaks.

Value: $2,000 - $3,000

Test Tube

Test Tube

No one knows what they would use this test tube for at the research station, but you can sometimes find one or two around the map.

Value: $2,000 - $3,000

Cylinder 6-pack

Cylinder 6-pack

This container holds six of the radioactive cylinders.

Value: $2,700 - $3,500

Radioactive Case

Radioactive Case

This item looks like a cooler for biohazard materials, but we're not sure what is actually inside of it. It can be a little heavy, but can fit snuggly in the loot cart.

Value: $4,000 - $5,000

Circular Ice Saw

Circular Ice Saw

Be careful when you pick this up, because as soon as you do, it turns on and the saw blade turns. You can use this item as a weapon against many of the monsters, though, just make sure some of the tougher monsters are stunned first.

Value: $4,300 - $4,500

Propane Tank

Propane Tank

Another item that can be used against monsters. First, you'll want to make sure the nozzle is pointing away from you. Then, while holding it, hit it against the ground or the wall to make fire come out of the nozzle. Then aim that at a monster to damage or kill them.

Value: $3,600 - $5,000

Flamethrower Cart

Flamethrower Cart

Just like the propane tank, this item can deal fire damage to monsters. It's a little heavier than the propane tank, though. Also, don't pick it up by the nozzle unless you intend to use it against something.

Value: $3,000 - $5,000

Red Explosive Barrel

Red Explosive Barrel

This is harmless unless it gets damaged enough, and then it'll explode, hurting anything and anyone nearby.

Value: $10,100 - $12,000

Small Fossilized Creature

Small Fossilized Creature

One of the creatures you saw on the laptop screen is fossilized in this.

Value: $11,300 - $13,000

Large Fossilized Skeleton

Large Fossilized Skeleton

Who was this person and how did his skeleton become fossilized in ice at the research station?

Value: $12,000 - $15,000

Large Computer Station

Large Computer Station

One of the more expensive items on this map. Like the laptop, the screen has images of one of the fossilized creatures. Someone with at least two strength upgrades should be able to move this with ease.

Value: $17,610 - $21,000

Computer Tower

Computer Tower

The most expensive item at Mcjannek Station. This will require a lot of strength upgrades and a lot of patience while maneuvering it to extraction. Once you get it to the extraction point, you'll need to stand it up for it to fit.

Value: $25,000 - $30,000
